TRAVELLING BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT

• There are regular train services to Winchester from London Waterloo or Southampton, and also from Birmingham down through Oxford and Reading. Some trains go through to Shawford, which is the nearest station to the practice, otherwise you can change at Winchester. See www.thetrainline.co.uk for details. Shawford is approximately 3 miles from the practice and we can arrange for a taxi to meet you if necessary
• The most convenient bus service runs from Winchester to Hursley where the bus stop is about 0.4 mile from the practice

Public Transport – Bunstead Farm Poles Lane

RAIL
Shawford is 3 miles from Bunstead Farm by road and 2.5 miles if a path is taken across Shawford Down (cyclable). Shawford railway station is the closest and trains run from Winchester from 0618 am (arriving 0623). There are two-four trains per hour at peak times and one train hourly all day until 2325.

Trains run to Shawford from Eastleigh (South) starting at 0506 (arriving 0512) with the same sort of frequency until the last train at 2313.

BUS ROUTES
Otterbourne bus stop is 1.9 miles from Bunstead Farm 49 and 49A: runs from central Winchester near the railway station, (bus station) to Otterbourne from 0750 (arriving approx 0812). With two buses per hour until 2325.

In the opposite direction it starts from Eastleigh (also near the railway station) and runs from 0704 until 2205, or from Otterbourne back to Winchester from 0716 to 2217.

Bluestar 1: Starts at Winchester bus station at 0635 to Otterbourne and runs 4 buses per hour until 2330. Back the other way, similar frequency until 2332.

In the opposite direction this bus goes from Southampton (starting at 0620) and going via Chandlers Ford railway station (0642) to Otterbourne.

Hursley bus stop is 0.4 miles from Bunstead Farm 46: Starting from Winchester Bus/railway station 0705 going all the way to Southampton Railway station via Chandlers Ford and various other residential places. One bus per hour until 1740 (leaving Hursley 1803)

In the opposite direction starting in Southampton from 0654 (arr Hursley 0757) until 1750 (Southampton) last from Hursley 1831 into Winchester.

Rail Link X66: Starting from 0615 from Romsey Bus and railway station to Hursley (arr 0628), with one bus an hour, running until 2354 (Romsey) or 0005(Hursley). These buses go on to Winchester railway station. In the opposite direction they run from 0625( Winchester) or 640 (Hursley) to 2310.

There are a few other buses that run intermittently (once a week or once a month), so we have not included these here.
