RCVS Recognised Specialist in Small Animal Medicine
(Internal Medicine)
Kit qualified from Cambridge University in 1986 and then spent 6 years in general practice. He obtained his Royal College Certificate of Veterinary Radiology in 1990 whilst working in equine / small animal practice, and became the Duphar Feline Fellow at Bristol in 1992. He was awarded his PhD looking at the mucosal immune response to feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) in 1997. He spent 5 years as a lecturer in small animal internal medicine at the Royal Veterinary College and Bristol University and since 2003 has been working in private referral practice. In 1999 he was awarded the Royal College Diploma in Small Animal Medicine and the Certificate in Cardiology in 2000. Kit is an RCVS Recognised Specialist in Small Animal Medicine. Kit has a broad interest in small animal internal medicine but particularly enjoys gastrointestinal, cardiorespiratory and renal medicine. He has published numerous articles and a short textbook on feline internal medicine.
